An Integrated Diagrammatic Model vs. Multiplicity of Models in UML

چکیده

An information system model represents a business establishment and reflects the reality of the organization and its operations. One begins to build such a model by drawing a conceptual picture of the establishment as part of its real-world domain. Object-oriented methods and languages (e.g., UML) are typically used to describe the system at this level. This paper contrasts this approach with a method that provides a single, integrated graphic model that incorporates function, structure, and behavior. This model is demonstrated through a sample that previously applied UML techniques to an object-oriented database analysis workflow.

Aspect Oriented UML to ECORE Model Transformation

With the emerging concept of model transformation, information can be extracted from one or more source models to produce the target models. The conversion of these models can be done automatically with specific transformation languages. This conversion requires mapping between both models with the help of dynamic hash tables. Hash tables store reference links between the elements of the source...

Generative frameworks for rigorous model-driven development

Our increasing reliance on software systems requires reliable software. Mainstream software manufacture, however, is not rigorous and precise, and resulting software lacks the desired reliability. Formal methods take a rigorous and precise approach to software development, delivering reliable software, but they are widely recognised as being impractical. Although the situation is improving, the...

System for a Passenger-Friendly Airport: An Alternative Approach to High-Level Requirements Specification

Recent advances in large systems (e.g., service-oriented architecture) utilize the notion of choreography, in which there is no central control of the system. Such a task requires first developing a conceptual model to serve as a foundation for specification of choreographybased activities. The European project CHOReOS has built a UML profile for Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) chore...

A Formal Semantics for Checking and Analysing UML models

The Unified Modelling Language (UML) is becoming a global standard diagrammatic notation for expressing and describing object-oriented models. Recently, the Object Constraint Language (OCL) has been proposed as a standard expression language for expressing additional constraints on UML models, which are not conveniently expressible in a diagrammatic form. In this paper we provide an approach fo...

Availability evaluation of Software architecture of object oriented Style using coloured Petri nets

Software architecture is one of the most fundamental products in the process of software development in the areas of behavioral or non- behavioral features like availability or transformability change. There are different ways to evaluate software architecture one of which is the creation of application model. An executable model of software architecture is an official description of architectu...
